There’s No Place Like Champ Camp
Located on the campus of Connors State College, Warner, Oklahoma. This campus has been the home to McPeak's Be a Champ Show Cattle and Lamb camps for 43 years. McPeaks Best Champ Goat Camp will work off our basic format that has helped generations of showmen become successful nationwide. Our goal is to help make your child capable and confident in and out of the showring. Through knowledge and success you will see your student grow. This is not a "Rah Rah" camp, we work hard, we keep long hours and there is little down time, but we will make your child a better showman, a better clipper, a better fitter and hopefully someone who will come back home with a renewed work ethic. Winning does not happen at the shows, winning happens in the barns, early in the mornings, late at night, on the weekend and after ballgames. When other people don't take the time to do it right. That is when our kids win. We will teach your child how to prepare to win, how to prepare to be successful not only in the show ring but in life. We hope your child has a good time, we hope they want to come back, but our goal is to make them better, every single time.
Your child will be housed in the dorms on the Connors State College Campus. Your child will eat meals in the Connors State College Cafeteria prepared by Connors State College Staff. Any food allergies need to be discussed in advance of you signing up your child. There is a swimming pool outside the dorms and we will have scheduled swim times. Each dorm room has a common area and 4 individual bedrooms. Younger campers who do not have an older camper accompanying them to camp will be in a room with a councilor and 3 other young campers. No parents will be allowed to stay in the dorm! There is a local motel in Warner that is owned by some very nice local people. Muskogee has several hotels just 25 miles north. I would suggest to parents, dropping off your child and then taking in the local sites, Lake Eufaula, Lake Tenkiller, fishing, camping, go goat shopping at several of the local goat farms in the area. Enjoy one of our Tulsa Resort Casinos. Just don't be on campus hovering over your child. Let them learn independence they can do it!!
We have a high staff to camper ratio that ensures every camper at McPeak's Best Champ Goat Camp has an amazing and unique camp experience taught by instructors who know how to teach and know how to win.
